doing things for loved ones

I am really enjoying bedtime stories: the best are, naturally, the ones that I enjoy as much as they do. Namely the variously hilarious Harry Potter, Winnie the Pooh and Pippi Longstocking.

Some other things I am having a fine time doing, supposedly for someone else: knitting a child’s traditional gansey, making mega-garlic meatballs to Dad’s recipe, endlessly test-driving 7-seaters (which last activity has the bonus kick to be got from mucking about to such a degree with the “modulable” interior that even the salesman can’t work out how to put it back like it was <sniggers nastily>)
